Breana Mazzagatte

Breana is a photographer and mother from East LA, California. She was previously a model and creative director, until 2015, when her primary focus became motherhood and family.

In 2019, Breana hosted a podcast called, “My Dead Parents” with Campfire Media, where she sat down with guests like GloZelle Green, Steve Agee and Will Hines to discuss the aches and laughable moments that come with death, funerals, and the movement forward, with the aim of consoling herself and others.

The pandemic, the passing of her parents, and new life as a single mother inspired Breana to dig deeper in to photography as a hobby and means of documenting her and her daughter's life together, through grief, joy, and the movement forward. She found her voice in portraiture and still life, and what began as a hobby quickly became a central focus. In August of 2022, Breana had her first show, for her series, “Bleed For Me” at Monfrere in Los Angeles and self published a book of the same title. She has since worked with publications like The Coveteur, Marika, and Monster Children. Shooting artists like Reggie Watts, TJ Will, and Billy Zane.
